Black women are bombarded constantly with negative statistics and opinions. They say we are just baby mommas and will never get married, they say our credit is bad and we aren't the "preference," They say the black woman is the least protected and most disrespected.
I believe it is important to hear, read and see positive things about being a black woman as much as possible in order to stimulate positive thinking about ourselves. We are consciously and subconsciously affected by what we see and hear. So I created a poetry and affirmation deck to encourage positive thinking about being a black woman.
